Fox News released a poll on Thursday that had President Trump behind presumptive Democratic nominee, Joe Biden 48% to 40%. Independents prefer him to show by 13 points, and voters 65 and older by 17 points. Trump won independents and seniors by 7 points in 2016.
The poll also shows that voters prefer 63% to 30% that all voters should be able to cast ballots by mail because of the coronavirus pandemic.
Trump tweeted that Fox News should fire their pollster, saying that he has never had a good Fox poll.
.@FoxNews should fire their Fake Pollster. Never had a good Fox Poll! https://t.co/joHfkQwd9L— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) May 22, 2020
He also expressed questions on why Fox New’s doesn’t show other polls like the CNBC or CNN poll that have him leading. In addition, he shared that he hopes disgraced CEO of Fox News, Roger Ailes is watching what happens to “this once beautiful creation.”
Why doesn’t @FoxNews put up the CNBC POLL or the (believe it or not!) @CNN Poll? Hope Roger A is looking down and watching what has happened to this once beautiful creation!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) May 22, 2020
The CNBC poll that was released earlier this week had Trump with a slight lead over Biden among battleground state voters.
The CNN poll that he was referencing had Trump falling behind Biden nationally, but leading in swing states.
