Joe Biden made his first public appearance in more than two months, laying a wreath to honor Memorial Day at a Delaware war memorial in New Castle, AP reports.

Joe Biden was accompanied by his wife, Dr. Jill Biden, and a detail of Secret Service. All were seen wearing black face masks when arriving at the Veterans Memorial Park.

Biden answered some quick questions by a small pool of reporters, saying “it feels good to be out of my house,” according to NBC News.

“Never forget the sacrifices that these men and women made,” Biden reminded Americans. “Never, ever, forget.”

Mr. Biden’s last public appearance was on March 15 at a debate against former rival Bernie Sanders at a CNN studio in Washington. Earlier, Biden held a campaign on March 12, which focused on the coronavirus.
