President Donald Trump today disagreed with Dr. Anthony Fauci’s comment about opening up schools during a congressional hearing on Tuesday, calling the answer “not an acceptable answer.”

“I was surprised by his answer actually because, you know, to me it’s not an acceptable answer when it comes to schools,” Trump told reporters Wednesday afternoon.

On Tuesday, Dr. Anthony Fauci, warned that opening campuses back up to student in the fall would likely not have a coronavirus vaccine available to them.

“He wants to play all sides of the equation,” Trump said in the Cabinet Room during a meeting with the governors of North Dakota and Colorado.

“The only thing that would be acceptable, as I said, would be professors, teachers, et cetera, over a certain age,” the president added. “Because this is a disease that attacks age, and it attacks health.”

He previously said, “I think they should [open schools]. It’s had very little impact on young people, Trump said. “I think you should absolutely open the schools. Our country has got to get back and it’s got to get back back as soon as possible, and I don’t consider our country coming back it the schools are closed.”

“Anthony is a good person, a very good person. I’ve disagreed with him,” President Trump said in a taped interview with Fox Business Network. “I totally disagree with him on schools.”
