Vice President Mike Pence’s Press Secretary, Katie Miller, has tested positive for COVID-19. She becomes the second known case in the West Wing.

Previously, Trump’s personal valet tested positive. Trump became “lava level mad” at his staff after the learning of the case, NBC News reports. Trump felt that his staff wasn’t doing “all it can to protect him.”

“She’s a wondeful young woman, Katie,” Trump said to reporters in the White House Friday. “She tested very good for a long period of time, and then all of a sudden today she tested positive. She hasn’t come into contact with me, spent some time with the vice president. So she tested positive out of the blue.”

Pence’s plane en route to Des Moines was delayed around an hour Friday morning after coronavirus test results came in. Members of the staff were seen leaving the plane at Joint Base Andrews.

Trump says that his staff will now be tested daily, as opposed to them previously being tested weekly.

White House Chief of Staff, Mark Meadows, says the White House is “probably the safest place you can come into.”

“We have put in place the guidelines that our experts have put forward to keep this building safe,” White House Press Secretary, Kayleigh McEnany said.

“We clean the facility, we social distance, we keep people six feet away from each other,” McEnany added.

Katie Miller returned to work after the Memorial day weekend, announcing that she’s tested negative three times. Miller also announced she was pregnant with her first child with her husband, Stephen Miller, a top Trump adviser.

“Back at work today after three NEGATIVE COVID tests. Thank you all to my amazing doctors and everyone who reached out with support.”
