Obama calls Trumps coronavirus handling a ‘chaotic disaster’

After leaving the White House, former president Barack Obama has stayed mostly silent on his successor, Donald Trump. That changed today when a leaked phone call showed Obama calling Trump’s response to the coronavirus a ‘chaotic disaster.’

“It would have been bad even with the best of government,” the former president stated during the call. “It has been an absolute chaotic disaster with that mindset — of ‘what’s in it for me’ and ‘to heck with everybody else’ — when that mindset is operationalized in our government.”

The phone call was meant to encourage former staff members of his Administration to work for Joe Biden’s campaign, CNN reports.

Mr. Obama also criticized the dropping of charges against former National Security Advisor, Michael Flynn, who lied to the FBI about his contacts to Russia.
