A spokesperson for Mike Pence shares that Mike Pence is “not in quarantine” after reports showed that Pence may self isolate.

The statement to CNN says that Pence will “continue to follow the advice of the White House Medical Unit and is not in quarantine.”

Earlier, Bloomberg shared that three people “familiar with the situation” said Pence worked away from the White House this weekend and did not attend a meeting on Saturday with military officials and the president.

Pence self-isolated “out of caution,” an official told NBC News. “At this point, for a day or two, give a little distance,” the official shared. “It doesn’t mean anything for next week” or further.

The article also states that Devin O’Malley, a spokesperson for Pence, said that Pence “is not in quarantine” and he will be back on Monday at the White House. Additionally, Pence will stay “a little lowkey” but has no restrictions on his travel.

The vice president has repeatedly tested negative for the coronavirus, and will continue to be tested regularly.

The isolation came after his press secretary and wife to top Donald Trump aid Stephen Miller, Katie Miller, tested positive for the coronavirus.

“She’s a wondeful young woman, Katie,” Trump said to reporters in the White House Friday. “She hasn’t come into contact with me,” but she’s “spent some time with the vice president.”

In addition to Pence’s distancing, task force members Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Infectious diseases, Stephan Hahn, head of the Food and Drug Administration, and Dr. Robert Redfield, Director of the Centers of Diseases Control, will self-isolate.
