THE CUT
Phase One: (Downward documented cases or positive cases within a 14 day period)- Employers to telework if possible, return to work in phases.
- Reduce non-essential travel.
- Let places like restaurants, sporting venues, movie theaters, and places are worship open,
- Gym’s may open if they “adhere to strict physical distancing and sanitation protocols.
- Bars should remain closed.
- School and daycare/camps etc. that are closed shall remain closed.
- Elective surgeries can resume “as clinically appropriate, on an outpatient basis.”
- All individuals should practice social distancing while in public.
Phase Two: (“No evidence of a rebound” that “satisfy gating criteria a second time.”)
- Schools and child activities may reopen
- Venues like restaurants, sports venues, movie theaters, etc. may move more into a “moderate” level of physical distancing.
- Gyms can stay open with “strict” sanitation protocols.
- Non-essential travel can resume.
- Bars can open with “dismissed standing-room occupancy.”
- Visits to senior case hospitals and facilities will be restricted.
Phase Three: (No evidence of a rebound and that satisfy the gating criteria a third time)
- Vulnerable individuals may resume public interactions
- Low-risk populations should minimize time in crowded environments
- Implement “unrestricted staffing of worksites.”
- Visits to senior care hospitals and facilities can resume
- Large venues can operate under “limited physical distancing protocols.”
- Gyms may remain open if they use the sanitation protocols
- Bars can operate with “increased standing room occupancy.”
During the briefing on Thursday, Trump reminded Americans, “We are not operating all at once, but one careful step at the time.”
